Cacapon State Park
The Cacapon State Park located approx 10 miles out 522 South of Berkeley Springs has lots of great hiking trails, The Ziler Loop Trail is a favorite that takes you to the overlook on top of the mountain. The 6,000 acres includes 20 miles of hiking trails, 18 hole golf course, lake for swimming and fishing, and horseback riding.

Sleepy Creek Lake is a 205 acre impoundment located in Berkeley County on the 23,000 acre Sleepy Creek Wildlife Management Area. The lake is accessible from several points on W.S. Route 522. It is also accessible from WV Route 45 at Glengary, Interstate 81 near Martinsburg and WV Rt 9 near Hedgesville.
The lake was built in 1962 with a maximum depth of 26 feet and an average depth of 9 feet. One concrete and two gravel boat ramps are available. Pit toilets and four primitive camping areas (fees charged) are also on site. Boating with electric motors only is permitted.
Historically this lake provided excellent trophy bass, crappie, and pike have been reported. Trolling deep-running plugs has been a productive method of landing bass, especially in early spring. Best crappie baits are small jigs and minnows while fly fishing can produce nice stingers of bluegill. Best fishing occurs in standing timber areas and around clumps of aquatic vegetation.
Paw Paw Tunnel
Part of the C&O Canal, the 3,118 foot tunnel is accessible to walkers and cyclists year ’round.

Devils Nose Hiking Trail located on Sleepy Creak WMA that is accessed via the Spruce Pine Hollow Roadside Park on Martinsburg Rd., east of Berkeley Springs approx 8 miles.
