This place is so great for time away from the city!

We had 80 per cent rain forecast but on Saturday it stopped in time for a fire in the fire pit and salmon on the grill! The house reminds me of the Waltons! All four of our adult sons made the trip, and are ready to make this place our yearly family meeting. Town is so very close and the Food Lion-is spotless for all the groceries you could need. Our old dog had a spring in her step again. I can’t say enough about the experience. I saw a deer on the property the first morning. Beautiful. Thank You so much for the wonderful week-end at Lady Bug Lodge! Our family was so comfortable there and was a much needed time away from the city. Next time we are booking for longer! We loved the town as well. Everything is convenient and the yard and stream were amazing. We had an 80 Per cent rain forecast for the whole week end, so when the sun came out just in time to grill salmon outside for dinner we were very happy Campers!

Lady Bug Lodge

This place was exactly what the doctor ordered for our family. 4 adult sons met us at the “camp” as we called it for a much too short week end. We immediately felt at home at Lady Bug Lodge. The grounds are wonderful and we enjoyed all of it, stream, horseshoes, grilling salmon and just relaxing. The dog was so happy! This place was perfect for us and maybe one day we will back with grandkids! Until then, we can’t wait to return to this “Walton’s” type home. The town is so close and a couple of our sons went the park for a hike . We all slept like babies. Thank You!

Writers Retreat

Hello! I'm the organizer of the recent group who just stayed at the Lady Bug Lodge this last weekend. We loved it! The four of us were there for a writing retreat and it worked really well. We loved the homey touches and the backyard was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for.

Great mountain Cabin

Great mountain cabin, very private-huge yard and deck, the fire pit and stream really make it. Good access to Cacapon Park. Old farm-house feel with basic features.

cozy cabins

We spent 5 days here over Thanksgiving with 2 adults and 5 children. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably and hang out. The backyard, creek, and firepit provided hours of entertainment every day. The nearby Cacapon State Park and Berkely Springs were fun to visit as well. The house is old and charming, but pretty clean. Very private- I think we saw another car come down the road one time during our stay. Couches could use an update, they're old and uncomfortable. Towels and linens were fresh and the kitchen was clean. The kitchen was stocked with basics, and we could make do with the selection of cooking utensils. The heaters in every room kept us toasty warm after playing outside. Cable tv and a fun selection of old Disney movies. There were some bugs, but mostly harmless ladybugs, and for a house in the woods near water, I expected that possibility. If you're looking for a cozy cabin "away from it all" to enjoy the outdoors, this place is awesome
